The Fiberscapes exhibit opened on September 19th 2006 at the Paper
Discovery Center in Appleton Wisconsin. It was scheduled to run through
December 30th 2006. The response was so strong from the community, including
local schools, the exhibit was extended through May 30th 2007.
|
The Paper Discovery Center is housed in the former Kimberly-Clark
Corporation Atlas Mill that was recently renovated into a gallery,
and exhibit space |
|
|
The canvas and print works hang just outside the Fiberscapes
installation. Here visitors have a chance to examine 2D pieces and
interact with 3D images. |
|
|
|
Some of the works actually follow your every move, while others look
real enough that you want to reach out and touch the fibers. |
Silk fiber canvas piece hangs in the gallery while CJ Kazilek takes a
moment to watch the
neighboring Bald Eagle from one of the gallery windows that overlooks
the Fox river. |
